The APG IRU-5000 is a short range ultrasonic level sensor built for the small vessels where a longer sensor cannot focus: totes, day tanks, sumps, and chemical batch tanks. It measures level without contact, so nothing wets out or fouls, and its short 4 inch blanking distance lets it read close to the sensor face where compact tanks fill up fast. Range runs from 4 to 79 inches with 0.25% of detected range accuracy and 0.1 inch resolution, and it mounts on a 1 inch or 2 inch NPT thread.

Output is flexible: isolated 4-20 mA, 4-20 mA with two NPN trip points for pump or alarm control, or a selectable 0-2.5 V or 0-5 V signal. The 4-20 mA versions carry CSA Class 1, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, D. For remote monitoring, the sensor pairs with the RST-5003 module. For larger tanks, the IRU-6429 reaches 30 feet with onboard data logging, and the IRU-9400 handles soft or non-reflective targets indoors out to 35 feet.
