A process that runs from venting to fine vacuum usually needs two gauges: one that is accurate near atmosphere and one that reads the low end. Every extra gauge is another flange, another cable, and another reading to reconcile. The Thyracont VSR53USB puts both measurements in one compact transducer and sends the data straight to a computer over USB-C.
Inside, a Piezo resistive sensor covers the rough vacuum range independent of gas type, and a Pirani sensor takes over toward 5e-5 mbar. Between 1200 and 30 mbar, accuracy is better than 0.15% of full scale. Pirani readings depend on gas type, and the transducer is adjusted for nitrogen and dry air. The measuring cell is metal sealed stainless steel with a helium leakage rate below 5e-10 mbar l/s, and the flange can be baked out up to 125 °C, so the transducer fits clean, UHV oriented systems as well as industrial lines. Choose DN16 ISO-KF (VSR53USB) or DN16 CF (VSR54USB) to match your port.
Connect the VSR53USB over its lockable USB-C port to a PC, tablet, or smartphone and use the VacuGraph software to plot and log pressure and to calculate leak rates from rate of rise measurements, or plug it into the Thyracont VD800 read-out for portable service work. Zero and atmosphere adjustment are done digitally over USB. For rough vacuum and light overpressure, the VSC43USB reads absolute and relative pressure with a ceramic Piezo sensor.
AV-TEK Consulting supplies the VSR53USB and VSR54USB in North America and helps you choose the flange, the read-out, and the software for your application. Browse all USB vacuum transducers or the full Thyracont range.
