The Thyracont VD800 is the display and data logger of the VD800 system. It has no built in sensor: you choose the Thyracont USB transducer that matches the pressure range you need, plug it in, and the VD800 reads and records it.
That split keeps the instrument flexible. With a VSC43USB Piezo transducer it reads absolute pressure from 2000 to 1 mbar and relative pressure from -1060 to +1200 mbar; with a VSR53USB Piezo/Pirani transducer it reads from 2000 down to 5e-5 mbar. When your requirement changes, you change the transducer, not the meter. The USB-C interface handles data transfer and charging, the data logger records at sampling rates from 100 ms to 60 s, and the graphic display keeps the reading clear.
For teams that already run Thyracont USB transducers, or that want one read-out unit to serve several measuring points, the VD800 is the flexible core. If you prefer a self contained meter with a fixed sensor, see the VD810 for rough vacuum or the VD850 for rough to fine vacuum.
The VD800 is available through AV-TEK Consulting in North America. Contact AV-TEK to match the read-out unit and the right USB transducer to your application, or explore the full Thyracont range.
