Communication Interfaces: standard USB, CAN, LAN, digital IO; optional EtherCAT, GPIB, analog and RS232; SCPI protocol and LabVIEW
The ITECH IT8000 Series is a high-power regenerative DC electronic load for laboratories and production lines testing UPS, batteries, PV and energy-storage systems, and EV power electronics. It simulates load characteristics like a conventional load, then returns the absorbed energy to the local grid with conversion efficiency up to 95%, which cuts electricity cost and removes the large cooling systems a heat-dissipating load requires.
Third-generation SiC technology and a modular high-power-density design put up to 18 kW in 3U, roughly 80% smaller than a conventional load of the same power. Input voltage reaches 2250 V and current 2040 A per cabinet, and ITECH’s patented parallel technology scales the system to 2 MW and 8000 A with active current sharing. The parallel architecture uses fiber transmission and digital, fully insulated paralleling, so a paralleled system performs like a single unit, needs no recalibration, and protects the DUT.
Eight operating modes (CC, CV, CP, CR and four combined modes), a built-in arbitrary waveform generator, List mode, battery-discharge testing, auto-test, short-circuit test, and a power-accumulation display cover a broad high-power test matrix. Protection is extensive (OVP, OCP, OPP, OTP, UVP, Vsense anti-reverse, voltage transient-drop, active anti-islanding) with automatic grid-state detection. Standard USB, CAN, LAN, and digital I/O, optional EtherCAT, GPIB, and analog/RS232, plus SCPI and LabVIEW, support integration.
