The ITECH Electronics IT7900 Regenerative Grid Simulator is a high-performance programmable AC/DC grid simulation platform engineered for advanced power electronics testing, grid compliance validation, and renewable energy system development. Designed with four-quadrant regenerative capability, the IT7900 series can both source and sink power while returning recovered energy back to the grid, reducing heat dissipation and lowering operational costs.
Built with advanced SiC technology, the IT7900 delivers high power density with up to 15kVA in a compact 3U chassis and scalable parallel operation up to 960kVA. The system supports single-phase, three-phase, reverse-phase, and multi-channel configurations, making it suitable for testing PCS systems, battery energy storage systems (BESS), EV chargers, V2X applications, microgrids, and grid-connected inverters.
The integrated anti-islanding test mode allows engineers to simulate resistive, inductive, and capacitive load conditions for certification and compliance testing. Additional capabilities include programmable output impedance, harmonic and interharmonic waveform synthesis, LVRT simulation, frequency variation testing, and programmable power line disturbances.
The IT7900 series also functions as a full four-quadrant power amplifier for Power Hardware-in-the-Loop (PHIL) applications, supporting real-time dynamic testing with fast response times and high output accuracy. Its built-in waveform library, trend analysis, and advanced communication interfaces make it an effective solution for R&D laboratories, automated test systems, and grid compliance validation environments.
