Unlike conventional DC power supplies, it integrates source and sink functionality within a single unit, enabling seamless transitions between supplying and absorbing power without overshoot.
With a regenerative design, the system feeds up to 95% of absorbed energy back to the grid, significantly reducing power consumption and thermal management requirements. This directly impacts operational costs in high-power test environments such as EV powertrain validation, battery cycling, and renewable energy system testing.
The wide output range (10V to 1500V, up to ±12kW per unit) allows a single instrument to cover multiple test scenarios, reducing system complexity. Built-in simulation capabilities—including battery modeling, photovoltaic I-V curve simulation, and compliance with automotive standards such as LV123, LV148, and ISO-16750-2—enable engineers to replicate real-world conditions without external software.
