The ITECH IT-M3800 Series is a regenerative DC electronic load: it sinks power like a conventional load, then feeds it back to the grid rather than burning it off as heat. With energy recovery up to 95%, it lowers both electricity consumption and the HVAC and cooling infrastructure a heat-dissipating load would require, a direct operating-cost reduction for aging, burn-in, and high-power test cells.
The series spans 25 models from 10 V to 1500 V with current to 720 A, delivering high power density: 6 kW in a 1U chassis and 12 kW in 2U. A wide-range design gives more voltage/current combinations than fixed-range loads, so one unit covers a broader test envelope and reduces the number of instruments a lab must buy and house.
Built-in automatic grid detection continuously monitors phase voltage and frequency and synchronizes regeneration safely, with anti-islanding protection. Eight operating modes (CC, CV, CW, CR and combined modes), settable voltage/current/power slopes, a 200-step list function, battery-discharge testing, and short-circuit simulation cover a broad test matrix. ITECH’s fiber-optic master-slave paralleling extends power while holding accuracy and speed.
It suits 5G and data-center power testing, photovoltaic and energy-storage equipment, power optimizers, industrial components, and aging tests. Built-in USB, CAN, LAN, and digital I/O (optional GPIB, analog, RS232) support system integration.
