Compressed air is one of the most expensive utilities in a plant, and leaks are where much of it goes. Measuring it usually means cutting into the network. The Flexim FLUXUS G532 CA clamps onto the outside of the pipe instead, so you can meter consumption and track leaks on a live network, with no pressure drop and nothing in the air stream.
The G532 CA measures in both directions on the transit time difference correlation principle, with flow direction detection and separate totalizers. It calculates standard volume flow, compensated for temperature and pressure via its process inputs, and detects flow velocities from 0.03 ft/s, which makes it suitable for leakage monitoring. Moisture, dirt, and oil do not impair the measurement, so there is no drift and no maintenance. The measuring system reaches ±0.3 % MV ±0.02 ft/s, with a calibration certificate traceable to NIST.
Beyond compressed air it measures medical, pharmaceutical, and technical clean gases such as oxygen, nitrogen, argon, and helium. The meter is IoT ready over Ethernet, with one process interface among Modbus RTU, BACnet MS/TP, HART, Modbus TCP, and BACnet IP. For process gases see the FLUXUS G731, and for thermal energy in heating and cooling loops the FLUXUS F532 TE.
The FLUXUS G532 CA is available through AV-TEK Consulting in North America. Flexim is part of Emerson. AV-TEK helps you choose transducers and the interface for your network and reviews the application for uncertainty at the measuring point.
