At the highest pressure points in well service, the process fluid is abrasive, corrosive, and pulsing, and a transmitter that drifts or fails does not just lose a reading, it puts the job at risk. The APG HU1502I is a recalibratable hammer union pressure transmitter built for exactly that duty.
It connects through a WECO® 1502 hammer union fitting to 2 inch treating iron, so it installs on frac manifolds, standpipes, and wellheads without adapters. The wetted material is Incoloy, conforming to NACE MR-01-75 and ISO 15156-3, which makes it suitable for sour service where H2S would attack standard stainless steel. Ranges run from 0-5,000 psi up to 0-20,000 psi, with a 4-20 mA or 0-5 VDC output and 0.25% of full scale accuracy (BFSL), and the transmitter is built to hold that accuracy through the shock and vibration of drilling and pumping, with a 10 million cycle rating and a frequency response under 5 ms.
The HU1502I is intrinsically safe for Class I, Division 1, Groups C and D, with CSA, ATEX, and IECEx approvals. A digital recalibration port allows field zero and span setting through a separate programming unit, and that is where AV-TEK adds value: NIST-traceable calibration and recalibration keep the transmitter inside spec across a demanding duty cycle, protecting both measurement integrity and job safety. For general industrial and hazardous area pressure, see the PT-400 and the explosion proof PT-405.
The HU1502I is available through AV-TEK Consulting in North America, with application support to select range and output, configure the unit, and support it over its service life. Explore more electronic pressure transmitters and the full APG range.
