The AEMC MTX 3293B is a handheld TRMS digital multimeter built for technicians who need bench-grade resolution in the field. Its 100,000-count, four-line display resolves fine changes that a 6000-count meter misses, and TRMS measurement keeps AC voltage and current readings accurate on non-linear signals. It measures DC, AC, and AC+DC voltage to 1000 V with 0.02 percent DC accuracy, current to 10 A with 0.01 percent DC accuracy, resistance to 100 MΩ, capacitance, frequency to 5 MHz, and temperature with Pt100/Pt1000 or K/J thermocouples.

The color matrix graphical screen does more than display a number. It plots trends, shows cursors and zoom on recordings, and holds MIN, MAX, PEAK, and relative values. A 4th-order 300 Hz low-pass PWM filter reads variable speed drives with asynchronous motors, and a V/A output clamp function gives direct readings from AEMC current probes. USB communication with the included SX-DMM software stores and downloads up to 30,000 measurements.

The MTX 3293B is the USB model. The MTX 3293B-BT (Cat. #2154.06) adds Bluetooth Class II. Both carry a 1000 V CAT III, 600 V CAT IV rating and run on four rechargeable NiMH AA batteries while charging, so there is no downtime.
