The AEMC MR527 brings high-current AC and DC measurement to the oscilloscope. It is a two-range Hall effect probe with a 6.5 ft (2 m) coaxial lead and an insulated BNC connector for direct connection to a scope or other frequency-sensitive instrument. The 10 mV/A range resolves up to 100 Aac and 150 Adc, and the 1 mV/A range reaches 1000 Aac and 1400 Adc, with a wider jaw for larger cables and bus bars.

Because it measures DC as well as AC and follows DC to 30 kHz (-3 dB, depending on current value), the MR527 lets you capture high-current waveforms, inrush, and transients on a scope without a separate shunt. It has automatic DC zero reset, internal temperature compensation, LEDs for low battery and overload, and runs on a 9 V battery (about 50 hours typical) or a 5 V micro-USB source.

Use it for high-power electronics, drive and converter development, and waveform capture on heavy feeders. The MR527 replaces the discontinued Model MR561.
