The AEMC MR526 is the highest-range probe in the MR family, and it measures both AC and DC, which a transformer-type probe cannot do. Two switchable ranges cover a wide span: the 10 mV/A low range resolves up to 100 Aac and 150 Adc, and the 1 mV/A high range reaches 1000 Aac and 1400 Adc. Its wider jaw takes larger cables (up to 0.94 in, 24 mm) and bus bars, which is what high-current feeders and switchgear need.

The probe follows DC to 30 kHz (-3 dB, depending on current value), with automatic DC zero on both ranges and internal temperature compensation. It runs on a 9 V battery (about 50 hours typical) or a 5 V micro-USB source, with LEDs for low battery and overload, and outputs to a DMM or data logger through a 5 ft lead with 4 mm safety banana plugs.

The MR526 suits high-current AC and DC measurement on feeders, switchgear, drives, and DC power systems, with the low range available when you need resolution on smaller loads. It replaces the discontinued Model MR521.
