The AEMC MN02 is a small AC current probe that extends the reach of instruments you already own. Clamp it around a single conductor and connect the 5 ft lead with 4 mm safety banana plugs to any AC ammeter, multimeter, recorder, or data logger with an input impedance under 10 ohms, and you read AC current directly. The MN02 covers 50 mA to 100 A with a 1000:1 transformation ratio and a 1 mA/A output, with accuracy of 1 percent of reading at a 1 ohm load. Its frequency range of 48 Hz to 10 kHz captures both line frequency and higher-order content.

The clothes-pin jaw opens around conductors up to 0.39 in (10 mm), which is what makes the MN02 useful where a full clamp meter will not fit: breaker panels, control cabinets, and outlet wiring in low-power secondary or industrial circuits. To meet its rated accuracy, pair it with a meter accurate to 0.75 percent or better.

The MN02 is an AC-only sensor and does not measure DC. It replaces the discontinued Model MN185, so existing MN185 procedures carry over.
