The AEMC 6472 is the multifunction ground tester for jobs a single method cannot cover. It measures earth and ground resistance by the fall-of-potential method, performs 4-point soil resistivity with automatic calculation of rho in ohm-meters (Wenner or Schlumberger), and runs 2- and 4-pole DC bond and continuity tests with automatic polarity reversal. With the optional MN82 or SR182 current probes it also performs stakeless 2-clamp ground testing, so you can measure without driving auxiliary rods where that is impractical. It is built for use under difficult conditions, such as the presence of high stray currents that normally affect accuracy.

Manual and automatic frequency scan from 41 to 5078 Hz optimizes accuracy in electrically noisy environments, and a selectable test voltage (10, 16, 32 or 60 V) drives up to 250 mA of test current. The tester recognizes all electrode connections and their resistance values automatically, stores up to 512 complete test results, and communicates over an optically isolated USB cable to DataView software for analysis and reporting. It is IEC 61557 parts 4 and 5 compliant, housed in a rugged field case rated IP53 with the cover closed.
