Thermocouple calibration labs often run several furnaces side by side: one for long noble metal probes, one for short base metal probes, one for annealing. Each takes floor space, power, and its own validation. The Additel 850 is designed to cover those jobs in a single horizontal furnace, with nine operating modes selected from the touchscreen.
The modes span long immersion (310 to 370 mm) and short immersion (200 to 240 mm) work, with the chamber used empty, with a metal cup or multi-hole insert for base metal thermocouples, or with an alumina tube for noble metal thermocouples. A dedicated annealing mode handles noble metal thermocouples over 100 mm to 500 mm. Multi-zone control holds stability at ±0.1 °C from 300 °C to 1200 °C, and the sliding probe holder with depth gradients keeps reference and test probes at the right immersion.
The ADT850 runs on 220 V with a 20 A system supply, so the installation should be planned with the lab electrical layout. A Type S reference such as the AccuMac AM1210 is listed among its optional accessories. For portable dry well and field furnace work, see the Additel 875 and Additel 878.
