Reading a dial gauge by eye is the slowest and least repeatable part of pressure gauge calibration. At every point a technician has to tap the case, wait for the pointer to settle, read the scale, and type the value into a record. Across a fleet of hundreds of gauges, that manual step drives both labor time and transcription errors. The Additel 710 automates it.
The ADT710 combines a pressure connection platform with a motorized HD camera and an image recognition engine trained on dial and digital gauges. The platform raises or lowers to center the gauge, the camera adjusts distance and focus, and a built-in tapper stabilizes the pointer before each reading. A barcode and QR code scanner identifies the instrument, and ACal pulls its model, range, accuracy, and scale. It is designed for standard single-pointer, single-scale gauges: dials with multiple pointers or narrow high-accuracy pointers cannot be read, and outlier readings should be checked on the setpoint screenshot in ACal.
The ADT710 works with Additel pressure controllers and ACal 9530 software, for example the Additel 761A for pneumatic ranges or the Additel 793 for hydraulic work. Up to ten units can be cascaded for batch calibration.
AV-TEK Consulting supplies Additel pressure calibration equipment across North America and helps you size a gauge calibration system around your controller, gauge mix, and throughput. Browse all automatic pressure calibrators or the full Additel range.
